Haydn's Creation

If you like hearing great choral music like the Hallelujah Chorus, then you are bound to enjoy the Blackstone-Ipswich Cambrian Choir’s next major performance.

Joseph Haydn’s great Oratorio ‘The Creation’ will be performed at the Ipswich Civic Centre on Sunday 13 November, commencing at 2.00pm.

For this fantastic afternoon of some of the world’s greatest choral music, the Cambrian’s will be joined by the Brisbane based semi-professional orchestra, the Sinfonia of St Andrew’s. As well as orchestra and choir, Ipswich will be treated to 3 outstanding soloists from the Queensland Conservatorium of Music. Mr Gregory Massingham, Head of Opera and with international performing experience, will head the cast of soloists. He will be joined by Sarah Sullivan (soprano) and Timothy Grantham (baritone), both Post-Graduate students at the Conservatorium. All of these forces will be under the baton of Steven Moore, Musical Director of the Blackstone-Ipswich Cambrian Choir.

Tickets are currently on sale and if you purchase before the 1 November, you will receive the special discounted price of $18 (adults) and $15 (concession). You will not find this kind of music at these prices anywhere else.
